Holiday Apartments in Puerto Mogan, Gran Canaria

FAQs - Frequently asked questions

The following are some of the questions people often ask us about the apartments and staying in Puerto Mogan. In the pages about the apartments we try to tell you what the apartments are like and what is included. Here, amongst other things, you can find out some of the things that are not included.

Where are the apartments?
You can find the roof-terrace apartment entrance on What3Words at warm.applauding.understand and on Google maps.
The garden apartment is on What3Words at predictable.blast.suits and Google Maps.
Is there a swimming pool?
There's a pool attached to a Maria's Bar about 100 metres away from the apartment. Subject to availability you can use it if you buy a meal or drinks to the value of €20.00 per person, but check with them first in case this has changed.
At nearby Taurito there is a magnificent lido with a circuit of linked pools and a waterslide. It's about 15 minutes away by car, bus or taxi.
Would we have access to a roof terrace?
If you're staying in the first-floor apartment, you have your own roof terrace. The groundfloor apartment apartment does not have a roof terrace but has its own garden.
Do you have Sky television?
Sorry, no, but some UK channels are available. Some local bars have Sky and show the big European and British football matches and other sporting events.
Can we drink the tap water?
Yes, but bottled water is sold locally if you so prefer.
How do I get from the airport to Puerto Mogan?
Private hire/minibus: There are several companies that specialise in airport transfers such as Las Casillas Bus who can provide anything from a car or limousine to a minibus.
Car: If you're hiring a car at the airport follow the signs for "Sur" (south) onto the GC-1, the main road alongside the airport, which becomes motorway within a few hundred metres. When you get to the end of the motorway, stay in the left hand lane for the Puerto and Taurito. Don’t follow the right hand lane for Mogan, this will take you inland to the small town a few kilometres up the valley.
Taxi: The taxi rank is immediately outside the arrivals hall.
Bus: There is a bus stop for the number 91 Directo outside the airportoutside the airport – follow the signs for buses from the departures hall. The 91 now terminates at Puerto de Mogan, so it's a quick, convenient and cheap way to get here. Cases should be put in the luggage compartment under the bus, which on newer buses are opened remotely by the driver. You can find more information about the buses on the Global website
Where can I park my car?
There is free on-street parking around the fishing harbour and the area behind the beach (Playa Mogan). In addition there is pay-and-display parking by the apartments along Explanada de Castillete (the other side is reserved for locals) and an underground car-park close to the beach.
Suggestion:
On Thursday evening you will need to move your car to the area behind the beach or the underground car park, as if it is parked along by the harbour or in most of Explanada de Castillete it will be towed away to make room for the Friday market.
How can I connect to the internet?
We don't provide internet access in the apartment, but many of the bars and restaurants have free wifi.
You can probably pick up messages if you have a 4G phone.
